What do rainbow meeting do?

Rainbow meetings are arranged on a non-profit basis and was started in 2019 based on a passion to make Kristianstad a more queer-friendly city where there should be an opportunity to meet other like-minded people in a safe environment. Behind rainbow meetings is Alva, who is the founder when she felt that something was missing in her hometown. Alva wanted to contribute to a more queer-friendly environment for her children to grow up in. From the beginning, the focus was on families as there was mainly a lack of a meeting place for families with small children. 

Gradually, the umbrella was extended to address everyone regardless of family composition and where the purpose was also clarified that everyone is welcome regardless of gender, age, language, ethnicity and identity.

 

Everyone is welcome to rainbow meetings as it should be considered a neutral place where no one needs to define themselves by coming there.
